Adult Class: Washoku - Japanese Cuisine
What you'll do
Japanese cuisine, known as Washoku, emphasizes fresh, seasonal ingredients, delicate flavours and meticulous presentation. The core principal of Washoku is the appreciation of seasonal ingredients and the connection with nature. Join Chef/Culinary Instructor John Bela as he expertly guides you into this diverse culinary landscape. We will start our journey by making Fried Chicken Kaaraage, Fried Pork Tonkatsu with Golden Japanese Curry, Yakisoba Noodles (authentic Japanese stir-fried noodles), Okonomiyaki (authentic Japanese pancake) and Chilled Crab and Asparagus Salad with Miso Dressing. With an emphasis on balance, seasonal ingredient freshness and a connection to nature, it is little wonder that Japanese cuisine is considered one of the worlds best.
